What made an impression was that he sincerely listened and proposed his designs based on our needs but never forcing his ideas on us. Jake is always prompt in replying our messages even after office hours, he was also the fastest among the other IDs to send us the budgetary quotation.
Once the renovation started, Jake was very prompt in keeping us updated with photos, videos and texts. We had some issues with the renovation permit from HDB but Jake reassured us it won’t be a problem.
During our search for an ID we met up with multiple IDs, but finally decided on Jake Chew from Weiken as we felt really comfortable communicating with Jake. During shopping day, he accompanied us to multiple locations around Spore just to find a particular kitchen mixer. While shopping for ceiling fans, a sales person suggested to purchase an pricey model for the kitchen but Jake quickly got us back to our senses by reminding us of its sole purpose and if it’s really necessary. In the end we settled for a basic unit which was more practical.
Jake also went the extra mile by making the effort to travel to an ulu part of SG as we wanted to see the actual pieces of the quartz countertop.
During the renovation process, there were some hiccups due to the existing structure but Jake was always ready to give us solutions and options to suit our needs. He coordinated all the delivery of the items and even liaised with the aircon installer even though we didn’t purchase the aircon from Jake’s supplier.
On handover day, Jake was there helping to clean and do minor touch ups. He noticed that the washing of the tiles done by the workers was not sufficient and honestly told us even though we were not aware. He assured us that he will arrange for another round of chemical wash. Despite his busy schedule, he made the effort to help us with the selection of the house decor items. When we had some last minute requests to drill items into the wall, he quickly arranged for workers to come. Thank you Jake for being so accommodating to our multiple requests throughout this period.
Overall, we highly recommend Jake Chew from Weiken as he is reliable, sincere, punctual, honest and looks after his clients interest. Thank you Jake for assisting us on this memorable journey and for giving us a beautiful home!
