Lucas listened to what we envisioned, and our lifestyle needs and worked his magic to design the place with a great balance in aesthetic and functionality. Many times when we threw him a curveball, half expecting him to reject the idea or get annoyed at having to change the design again, he would surprised us with enthusiasm to test out the idea.
We would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to Lucas Ngan whom we engaged as our ID to renovate our new home.
Prior to our search for an interior designer, my husband and I listed down the specific traits one must have – one who practice active listening, open to suggestions, is creative, and most importantly, reliable. Based on the online reviews, Lucas first appeared to stand out from the rest and fulfilled our criteria. Nonetheless, I was skeptical due to the many renovation nightmare stories I have heard elsewhere.
Lucas impressed me even at our first meeting. It was before we decided to engage him, and he was already willing to go down to the apartment and do all the necessary measurements so that we could have a floorplan with dimensions. At the end of all that hard work, he did not hesitate to send me a copy of the floorplan with dimensions and even advised me to do my due diligence and talk to a few other IDs. He left with such a great impression that other IDs simply could not measure up. He was professional, meticulous, approachable, and very masterful in communication. While I had asked many “silly” questions during our first meeting, he was always patient in explaining/elaborating and never once made me felt bad for asking.

Wow, that really helped to make the design process such a pleasant one and we felt reassured that every idea of ours, good or bad, had been duly considered. So, no regrets in any decisions made! 
For the renovation journey, Lucas kept his professionalism and we found ourselves constantly marveling at how resourceful he is! On top of that, he was very organized and helped break the renovation journey into multiple manageable “milestones” so that the process does not get overwhelming and confusing. When issue arose, Lucas often goes above and beyond to resolve and address them so that we can enjoy the journey and not get freaked out. During the renovation, we also had some additional requests that was not part of the work listed, and he was also ever so ready to help source and manage. He was so trustworthy that throughout the renovation, we only visited the site less than 3 times. The idea that we could just leave everything to Lucas to manage was a major godsent for busy individuals like us!
We are so in love with our home. It is beautiful, elegant, functional, and incorporated most of what we needed! At the end of the renovation journey, we are very pleased to have not only created a stunning home, but we are also really happy to have found a friend like Lucas who we could joke around and bounce ideas with.
Lucas has continually impressed us with his remarkable capability, efficiency, passion, and attitude, and given these personal attributes, we are confident that he will soar in his career and be an asset to any firm that he works in.
Oh yes, if I must list a negative outcome from this renovation journey with Lucas, there is one. My husband said the home is too beautiful that he feels like quitting his job to stay at home!!!!
