His quotation was reasonable and captured nearly all requirements I conveyed in our first meeting. He was also not pushy and gave me space and time to properly consider the proposal before signing. What I really appreciate about Jake is his project management skills; he was on top of things and provided regularly updates with photos and videos. I think he has a good working relationship with his contractors. But please be reasonable and don’t expect that your ID is constantly on site. Inevitably, along the way there were some things that turned out unexpected, but Jake tried to find workable solutions at minimal additional cost. One advice to the homeowner, do take the time to think through practical considerations and colour schemes. This is one area which I did not put in enough effort and kind of relied excessively on Jake. Be conscious that this is your house, so you really need to think critically and your ID is there to guide you along. Jake’s experience and design background was really valuable in our home renovation. I give 4/5 stars – which is really high. 5 stars is perfect, which realistically is exceedingly rare.
